Freshwater scarcity is one of the biggest societal threats we face, affecting every continent on the planet. If government and private industry fail to act, the continued depletion of global groundwater is all but assured in many already water-stressed areas.
Effective management of this crisis requires a paradigm shift in our thinking and ethics: an increased value placed on water, its use and preservation.
Averting disaster will require technological advancements in water management including conservation, treatment, desalination, and recovery. These solutions need to be less costly, operationally achievable and environmentally friendly to measurably improve our planet’s water security.
