E+P Ordered to Pay for Greenfield Public Water System Where Wells Were Contaminated

November 20, 2022

In a possible precedent-setting case, a Marcellus E+P was ordered to connect the public water system to a rural 1,200 population town in Pennsylvania.  After a 10 year legal process, it was found that the private wells of the town of Dimock had been contaminated by local injection wells.  EcoVAP is an inexpensive alternative to injection wells with its ability to evaporate water at 59x the normal rate, reducing produced water volumes at the well head by >90%.
